The use of benzoyl peroxide is one of the most tried an true ways of getting rid of pimples. There are a number of products available that contain benzoyl peroxide. You can buy this stuff over-the-counter at most pharmacies or online, although there are some stronger products which are only available by prescription only.
If you read my previous post, then you know all about sebum, and you also know that the unsightly inflammation associated with pimples is caused by certain bacteria that lives in the sebum. Well, the way benzoyl peroxide works is by killing that bacteria. So it basically attacks the inflammation at its source.
Benzoyl peroxide is very effective for getting rid of pimples. In fact, this stuff is the most highly recommended treatment for moderate to severe acne. Just keep in mind that it can take a while to see results with this stuff. Just give it a week or two, and you should start to notice big improvement. Be patient!
