How to pop a pimple

Popping pimples is by far the most common way of getting rid of pimples. The most basic way of accomplishing this is to hold the pimple between two of your fingers, make sure you have a good grip on it, and then squeeze it. With any luck, the pimple will break open, and a tiny ball of pus will shoot out. It is always best to do this in front of a mirror so you can see what you're doing.

Some people who use the popping method also use a needle as well, often a small pin or sewing needle. It doesn't really matter what kind of needle you use, you are just getting rid of a pimple after all. But it is always a good idea to sterilize your needle first. The two most common ways of doing this is to heat the needle with a lighter for a few seconds, or dip the needle in some nice sterile rubbing alcohol (Note, it is not a good idea to combine these sterilization methods-- just use one or the other-- rubbing alcohol is flammable!).

Please note that pimple popping is by no means a cure for an acne problem. It does get rid of pimples, but that doesn't mean you won't have more pimples tomorrow! One of the worst things about popping is that if you do it too much it can cause scars to form, and that is not good at all, especially if they are on your face!

Pimple popping is mainly for those who get occasional pimples. If you have a moderate to severe acne problem, it is advisable that you find a better way to get rid of pimples.
